Barton released from hospital

Los Angeles - Actress Mischa Barton was released from hospital after a long treatment, Entertainment Tonight reported Monday.

She will return shortly to her TV series The Beautiful Life.

Spokesman Craig Schneider did not give any information about why Barton was hospitalized, which has been the subject of extensive speculation in the tabloid press. Shortly before she was hospitalized 10 days ago in Los Angeles, the police were called to the star's home. (dpa)
