Denmark lowers lending rate to 4.25 per cent
Copenhagen - Denmark's central bank Thursday shadowed an interest rate cut by the European Central Bank and lowered its lending rate by 0.75 percentage points to 4.25 per cent.
The cut was effective as of Friday, the Danish central bank said.
The central bank said the discount rate and the current account rate were also to be lowered by 50 basis points to 3.50 per cent as of Friday.
Denmark is a member of the European Union, but not a member of the eurozone. (dpa)
