EC issues notice to Chidambaram for offering poll sopsNew Delhi, Apr. 5 : The Election Commission has issued a notice to Union Home Minister P Chidambaram for violating the model code of conduct.

The Election Commission has demanded reply from Chidambaram for allegedly offering poll sops during his Rajasthan visit for a security review.

The Commission has received a complaint from the Bhartiya Janta Party in this regard.

Chidambaram has been directed to send his answer in the allegation by 5 pm on Monday. (ANI)
