EC Notice To HDK For Violating Code Of Conduct

On Sunday, a notice was issued to former CM H D Kumaraswamy by the Election Commission with the aim to seek an explanation from him regarding allegedly violating the election code of conduct on Saturday.

The news was confirmed by the sources in the chief electoral office and Tumkur district administration.

The commission instructed all non-voters to vacate Madhugiri, where the by-election was held as canvassing ended on Thursday.

In spite of all this, Kumaraswamy was found moving around in the constituency and his presence was objected by Congress candidate K N Rajanna, who even had a verbal duel with Kumaraswamy and JD(S) MLA B Z Zameer Ahmed.

Anitha Kumaraswamy, Kumaraswamy's wife is the JD(S) candidate from this segment.
