EC to review poll preparedness in UP tomorrow

GSwami New Delhi, Mar 3 : Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalswami and two Election Commissioners Navin Chawla and S Y Quraishi will visit Lucknow tomorrow to review the poll preparedness for the coming Lok Sabha polls.

During their two-day visit, the team will meet the top State Government officials.

According to official sources, the Commission is scheduled to hold a separate meeting with the chief secretary and director general of police.

The Election Commission is expected to hold consultations with the Chief Electoral Officer, DMs and senior district police officials to review the readiness to hold the elections in a free and fair manner.

Five phased polls will be held in Uttar Pradesh. (ANI)
