Hundreds of social bodies, educationists, students and sportspersons already started a signature drive in Orissa in pursuit of ‘education for all’. This is a collaboration of the 1Goal global campaign with FIFA Football World Cup 2010. This drive booted up by Sradhanjali Samantaray, former captain of Indian women’s football team.

Santosh K. Padhy of international NGO has told that this drive will continue up to June 22. And peoples from all across the state staring from villages to all educational institutions will promote this drive.

The participants have signed on a demand note that government of Orissa should increase budgetary allocation for elementary education. The campaign is sponsored by FIFA and some other big names in football fraternity.

Aim of this campaign is to put anxiety on governments around the world to collect the additional money required to pay every child to attend school. This campaign will support to encourage new words from governments to attend the high level summit which will be hosted by South African government because now-a-days education has become a fundamental right of every child.
