Kidney for sale on Polish internet auction site Warsaw - Police say they will investigate a Polish man who tried to sell his kidney for 40,000 zloty (11,559 dollars) on an internet auction site after he claimed "financial difficulties," TVN 24 reported Monday.

The man calling himself Rumun_79 also offered up his bone marrow for another 40,000 zloty on Polish site allegro. pl. On Sunday, however, he closed the auction early without giving a reason.

If caught, Rumun_79 could face a fine and up to three years in prison. (dpa)
