Malegaon blast: Dayanand Pandey in Police custody till 26th Nov. Mahant Amritanand alias Dayanand Pandey was remanded to police custody till 26th November. He was arrested from Kanpur for his alleged involvement in the Malegaon blast.

The Court also permitted to conduct polygraph, narco-analysis and brain mapping tests on Pandey.

Pandey, when produced before the judge complained that the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Officers assaulted him physically. Then the Court ordered for immediate examination of his injuries. But nothing was found.

The prosecution argued Pandey is accused of having attended meetings held in Bhopal, Pune and Faridabad prior to the 29th September Malegaon blast and also claimed he played a key role in making the bomb used in the strike.

Lt Col Prasad Purohit also attended the same meeting.
