Penelope Cruz is Woody Allen’s fan

London, Feb 19 : Spanish actress Penelope Cruz has joined director Woody Allen's actress fan club, which includes her `Vicky Cristina Barcelona' co-star Scarlett Johansson.

Cruz, who is tipped for an Oscar as best supporting actress for Allen's `Vicky Cristina Barcelona', says that she loved working for the New York director, for he has a way of making his actors feel really comfortable.

"I only met Woody for one minute, then I was told that I had passed the audition," Penelope gushed at a recent London awards bash," the Daily Express quoted Cruz, as saying.

"That was it. When we started work I did all my scenes in four weeks, no rehearsal, everything in two takes.

"I loved it and although I always prefer working in Spanish, I felt really relaxed in English for the first time.

"He has a way of making his actors feel really free," she added. (ANI)
