Singapore shares fall 2.11 per cent

Singapore FlagSingapore - Singapore share prices fell 2.11 per cent on Friday as stock markets dropped around Asia.

The benchmark Straits Times Index dropped 34.41 points to 1,594.94 on a volume of 692 million shares worth 699.8 million Singapore dollars.

Decliners led gainers 288 to 130. (dpa)
