Samiti meeting will be held to decide on move

A no confidence motion has been moved against deputy speaker of Khed panchayat samiti Raju Jawalekar, who is an accused in the Ajit Cooperative Bank scam.

The court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him.

Eight members of the panchayat samiti have submitted the motion at district collector's office. According to an official, a special meeting would be organised within a week to decide on the motion.

Jawalekar is a member of the Congress Party and those who have moved the motion are mostly members of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). In Khed panchayat samiti, Congress and NCP have eight members each.
