Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Saregama India's co-production Chenab Gandhi was recently in the news for John Abraham replacing the film's male lead a down on luck Hurman Baweja. This film being directed by Bhansali's long time assistant Vibhu Puri was to go on floors in April but with John's last minute inclusion, everything has gone in for a toss.

Insiders reveal, "The film's first schedule has now been postponed from April 2009 to December 2009. Just around February end, after Hurman S Baweja was replaced by John Abraham, all the shooting dates had to be reworked and rescheduled for this year end, as John is a very busy star presently and is already committed for shooting two other films on his hand."

Chenab Gandhi is a period film that is based on life of famous freedom fighter from the North West Frontier province, Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan. This role is being played by Amitabh Bachchan. This film directed by debutant Vibhu Puri, stars Vidya Balan opposite John Abraham.

Hurman Baweja is extremely hurt at this latest development as an ouster was a last thing that he was expecting from a big banner film after two back to back flops and broken affair with Priyanka Chopra.
