Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology journal stated that Vitamin E’s over consumption could shorten the life span of a person by four months.

Doctors state that seeing conflicts in findings on the vitamin, specifically on various diseases, particularly heart disease; there was a need to reach precision.

Groups of people that are most likely to benefit from the effects of Vitamin E are being identified now.

Investigation of past publications revealed those who refrained from taking the vitamin enjoyed more. The findings were based on a parameter used to assess medical intervention effects in medicines called quality-adjusted-life-years (QALY).

For reaching a conclusion researchers examined data from more than 300,000 subjects in Europe, the US and Israel.

Dr Ilya Pinchuk said, "Our major finding was that the average quality-adjusted life years of Vitamin E-supplemented individuals was 0.30 less than that of untreated people.”
