Ybrant Technologies to acquire US-based firm for $ 100 million

Ybrant Technologies Ltd, a Hyderabad based digital marketing firm, is eyeing at acquiring an online marketing company in the US for $100 million (approximately Rs 400 crore).

However, the company did not reveal the name of the American firm or details of the acquisition due to non-disclosure agreement, but said it is a leading player in online search, and affiliate marketing company.

According to market experts, the proposed acquisition, which would be a major overseas acquisition, would move the company to the top 10 online marketing firms globally. In 2006, Ybrant had acquired two companies – Serbia-based Seenietix and US-based MediosOne – for undisclosed amounts. In 2007, it acquired US-based online ad-network company AdDynamix for $10 million (about Rs 40 crore).

The zero-debt company plans to fund the buyout through a combination of debt and equity. Recently, Ybrant has raised $30 million through private equity, the biggest portion of which came from New York-based private equity and hedge fund Sansar Capital Management LLC., which has invested $20 million.

The company has informed that it is close to signing a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the US firm and expects to seal the deal, by the end of this year.
