Indian envoy meets Prachanda

Kathmandu, Aug 14: India’s Ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Sood met Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ''Prachanda'' today to discuss the ongoing deliberations for formation of a new government in Nepal.

The Prachanda-Sood meeting came just as the Maoists and the Nepali Congress prepared to file nominations for the Prime Minister after they failed to arrive at a compromise on defence portfolio.

It is viewed as a politically significant meeting amid confusion over the structure of the next government, Nepalnews reported. (ANI)
