Bush accuses Russia of "bullying" in Georgia
Washington - US President George W Bush said Friday that Russian "bullying" in Georgia was unacceptable and called on Moscow to end the invasion of the former Soviet republic.
"Bullying and intimidation are not acceptable ways to conduct foreign policy in the 21st century," Bush said at the White House before departing to his ranch in Crawford, Texas for vacation.
Russian credibility in the world has been damaged by the military campaign in Georgia and Moscow must now seek to restore its image in the world by respecting the Caucasus nation's sovereignty, he said.
"Only Russia can decide whether it will now put itself back on the path of responsible nations, or continue to pursue a policy that promises only confrontation and isolation," he said. (dpa)
