Balaji Telefilms stock hits 52-week-low as Star arm stops ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’

Balaji Telefilms, India's leading entertainment content provider has informed that SGL Entertainment Ltd, part of broadcaster Star group, has terminated sourcing and will stop telecasting TV serial 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' from Nov. 10.

"Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" is one of the longest running soap in Indian television's history, which has been continuously running on the Star Plus for the last eight years. But now as the sources indicates that, Star Plus plans to come up with a new line of programming to replace Kyunki.

The serial is produced by Balaji and the termination is in breach of contractual obligation owed by the Star group to Balaji, company stated in an official release.

Balaji intends to take all legal remedies related to the latest matter.
