PM to hold I&B Ministry

PM to hold I&B MinistryPrime Minister Manmohan Singh will hold charge of information and broadcasting ministry.

A Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said that Manmohan would hold the charge till Priyaranjan Dasmunsi resumes office.

Earlier additional charge of I&B Ministry was given to MoS external affairs Anand Sharma on October 18 and he will continue as before.

But a cabinet Minister requires holding the charge of the Ministry.

Dasmunsi, presently undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital will be the Minister without portfolio.

He was admitted to hospital after a severe cardiac problem on October 13.
