Melbourne, Apr 21 : An ex-school teacher has been found guilty of abducting one of her students, and raping him and his 15-year-old brother.

Judge D. Gary Steiner at Pierce County Superior Court convicted 33-year-old Jennifer Leigh Rice of first-degree kidnapping with sexual motivation, first-degree child molesting and two counts of third-degree child rape.

Rice is facing over 25 years in prison, and she now remains in jail pending her sentencing on June 5, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Sydney - An alleged people smuggler accused of ferrying more than 900 asylum seekers to Australia is to be extradited from Indonesia to face court in Australia, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said Tuesday.

Hadi Ahmadi, a dual Iraqi-Iranian national, is believed to have arranged the dispatch of four boats to Australia in 2001.

"This action further demonstrates the absolute importance for cooperation between the Australian and Indonesian governments in dealing with the scourge of people smugglers," Rudd said.

Sydney  - Australia cannot afford to host the 2015 Rugby World Cup and may not bid for the 2019 competition either, Australian Rugby Union chief executive John O'Neill said Tuesday.

O'Neil said the International Rugby Board (IRB) was insisting the host assume all costs as well as a tournament guarantee fee.

As well as financial concerns were the time constraints, because the IRB will announce the 2015 and 2019 hosts on July 28, six years before the first tournament and 10 years before the next.

Hugh, who plays Wolverine in the upcoming flick, has also produced the flick with wife Deboraa-Lee-Furness and pal John Palermo.

Melbourne, Apr 20: Just by thinking ‘out of box’, doctors successfully removed a leech, which was attached to an Australian woman''s eyeball.

The leech made its way to the 66-year-old woman’s eye while she was gardening in the backyard of her suburban Sydney home in March last year and accidentally flicked some moist soil and the blood-sucking organism into her left eye.
