Three days after a senior executive of Infosys BPO was found murdered in his Ramaswamypalya house, police now believe that they have enough reasons to suspect the victim’s wife.
Forensic experts, who had conducted a post-mortem examination on Umesh Krishnan, aged 27, have reported that traces of poison were found in his body. This led the police to suspect Honey Mary, who had married Umesh four months ago. Police believe that Umesh might have consumed food laced with poison.
The city police investigating the BPO employee murder case on Tuesday said they have collected concrete clues, which will lead them to the accused persons.
Umesh Krishnan (27), a senior executive of Infosys Pvt Ltd, was smothered to death on Monday at his house in Ramaswamypalya in Banaswadi.
Assistant police commissioner N Narasimhaiah said, “We have clues that will lead us to the accused. We are working towards it and hope to solve the case soon’’.
Police are still maintaining that it is a murder for gain. Umesh was murdered by four unknown people in the presence of his wife Honey Mary, who was injured. Since she is away in Erode, where Umesh’s body was cremated, police have not been able to get more information from her.
