Rihanna set to star in ‘The Bodyguard’ remake? New York, Mar 16 : Barbadian singer Rihanna is reportedly set to star in the remake of Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner's 1992 movie `The Bodyguard'.

An insider has revealed that Rihanna will be playing Houston's role in the updated version, in what would be a "young and sexy take" of the movie, while American actor Channing Tatum is being considered for the role of Costner.

"Before the situation with Chris, Ri was getting a lot of scripts. She's been wanting to do movies for a while now," the New York Daily News quoted the insider as saying.

Besides this project, Rihanna is also said to be contemplating a Charlie's Angels sequel.

However, the singer's representatives have denied that she has had any meetings with directors, producers or production companies. (ANI)
