Sensex Nifty at Record Highs

Mumbai: Sensex and Nifty finished off the week at record high up. The Bombay Stock Exchange 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) closed at 15272.72, up by 180.68 points or 1.20 per cent and the NSE’s 50-share Nifty closed up 58.40 points or 1.31 per cent at 4504.55. The BSE Midcap index ended at 6795.30, up 13 points while the BSE Smallcap index closed flat at 8216.14.

The BSE Metal index, which led the rally, closed up 4.60 per cent at 12000.90. However, small and mid-cap stocks underperformed the benchmark indices on profit taking.
