Spanish police detain ETA supporters
San Sebastian, Spain - Spanish police Tuesday arrested eight people on charges of staging acts of street violence in support of the militant Basque separatist group ETA, police sources said.
Police searched about a dozen addresses, including homes of the detainees and a separatist bar in the Basque town of Hernani.
The detainees were suspected of links with the illegal youth group Segi.
ETA, which is listed as a terrorist organization by the European Union and the United States, has killed more than 820 people. (dpa)
