Spanish police discover ETA arms cache
San Sebastian, Spain - Spanish police on Wednesday seized an arms cache of the militant Basque separatist group ETA and destroyed eight kilograms of explosives in a controlled blast, Basque officials said.
The cache located in Ordizia also contained a pistol, a grenade and about 200 cartridges.
A passer-by spotted the cache after rains uncovered a jerry can which was inside. Police postponed inspection of the site until the morning for fear that it might contain a booby trap.
The discovery followed that of a similar ETA arms cache at 15 kilometres away mid-January. (dpa)
