Times Internet, Mobio jointly launches “iMobizo”, a mobile-based free utility

Times Internet and US-based mobile VAS provider Mobio has announced the availability of iMobizo, a mobile-based application to GPRS subscribers in India.

The users will be able to access cricket or stock news, contests, astrology, jokes, songs, ringtones, or latest political and business news by downloading the platform from the web on their GPRS enabled phones for free.

The application can be downloaded by sending TOI to 58888.

The applications will run on networks of Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL, IDEA Cellular, MTNL Mumbai, MTNL Delhi, BPL Mobile and Spice Karnataka.

Indiatimes also plans to provide The Times of India and The Economic Times content on Mobio Lifestyle portal, available in US.

In India, Mobio has also tied up with Airtel and plans to announce partnerships with other Indian operators in a few months.
