Two dead in Turkish military helicopter crash

Two dead in Turkish military helicopter crash Ankara - Two military officers were killed Saturday afternoon in a helicopter crash in central Anatolia, the Anadolu news agency reported.

Search and rescue operations were launched in the province of Kayseri after radio contact with the Sikorsky helicopter was lost. The helicopter was flying from the south-eastern city of Diyarbakir to Ankara.

Two other military personnel were on board the helicopter, Anadolu said.

High winds were reported in the Kayseri region at the time of the crash. (dpa)
