Zimbabwean Prime Minister Tsvangirai injured in car crash Harare - Zimbabwean Prime Minister and long-time opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has been injured in a car crash on Friday, a spokesman for his party, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), said.

"I can confirm that he was involved in a car accident along Harare-Masvingo road. He has been brought to Harare and doctors are looking at him at a hospital," spokesman James Maridadi said.

The extent of Tsvangirai's injuries and the exact location of the accident were not yet known. (dpa)
