Arya has won the hearts of millions with his acting skills and chocolaty looks. And now it seems his brother Satya is all set to give his brother big competition with his debut flick Kadhal 2 Kalyanam which is directed by Milind Rau who earlier worked as associate director with Mani Rathnam.
Satya has already become the talk of the town with his cute looks. The actor has made it clear that even though he is getting a big launch, he would love to do different kind of roles.
The shooting of Maharaja is moving smoothly. Recently a sequence of Nasser’s kidnap was shot in Bharathidasan Nagar in KKR Nagar in Chennai. The shooting of the film took place in Chennai and is being continued in Hyderabad. The songs will be shot in Malaysia.
The film is being produced by J Ravi under the banner of Jayaram Creations. T Manoharan has penned down the story, screenplay and dialogues and is also taking care of the direction of the flick. T Iman has composed the music for the lyrics jotted down by Na Muthukumar, Pa Vijay, Snegan and Yuga Bharathi.
Chennai, Mar 30 : Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) would welcome creation of a separate ''Eelam'', a homeland for the Sri Lankan Tamils provided it is created by a democratic process, said M Karunanidhi, DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
Talking to the reporters here today, Karunanidhi said, "We will be glad if a separate Eelam is created (in Sri Lanka) by people voting for it."
He accused the opposition parties of spreading rumours that DMK does not support Sri Lankan Tamils.
Chennai, Mar 29 : The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, last night finalised a seat-sharing arrangement with its allies, the Congress, the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
According to the deal, the Congress will contest 15 Tamil Nadu seats and one seat in Puducherry, the VCK, a Dalit party, got two seats and the IUML got one.
Chennai, Mar 27 : The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) on Friday released its manifesto for upcoming general elections.
The manifesto, released by the PMK founder Dr. S. Ramadoss here said the party would be persuaded to create 50 states from the existing 28 to promote equitable accelerated development in various regions.
Ramdoss said efficiency and good governance could be provided in smaller states.
The party said the concept of creamy layer for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) would also be removed.
Chennai, Mar 26 : Breaking off its alliance with the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) on Thursday joined hands with All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).
PMK''s General Council met here today to take a formal decision on forming an alliance with Jyalalithaa-led AIADMK. The meeting was attended by all senior leaders, including PMK founder S Ramadoss and his son and Union Health Minister Dr Anbumani.
According to sources, while 2,453 members voted for the alliance with the AIADMK, only 117 voted against it.
