Los Angeles - After years of frustration, Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets are celebrating a Rocky Mountain High.

Anthony scored a career-playoff high 34 points, J. R. Smith added 20 and the Nuggets rocked the New Orleans Hornets 107-86 at home on Wednesday to wrap up their Western Conference opening-round playoff series in five games.

Denver had lost five consecutive first-round series before advancing for the first time since 1994.

Los Angeles - Oliver Stone is to remake his 1987 hit Wall Street and has lined up Michael Douglas to reprise his Oscar winning role as corrupt financier Gordon Gecko, 20th Century Fox has announced.

According to the announcement the sequel will unfold against the background of the recent economic meltdown in which a young Wall Street trader confronts the rampant greed and corruption that led to the meltdown.

The role Gekko's apprentice, which was filled by Charlie Sheen in the original, is set to go to Shia LaBeouf.

Los Angeles - X-Men Origins: Wolverine premiered Monday night in the unassuming Arizona city of Tempe after thousands of fans there won an online competition to host the movie's world debut. Star Hugh Jackman delighted the crowds by roaring up to the event on a Harley Davidson motorbike and declaring, "I love this place. I'm moving here." He was joined by other stars from the new film including Liev Schrieber, Will.i.am and Lynn Collins.

Los Angeles  - Some egos would have been bruised, calling it an obvious demotion, but Jason Terry embraced his new role and the Dallas Mavericks shooting star was rewarded for it.

Terry was named the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year on Friday, after making the successful transition from starting guard to super sub.

"It's all about the team," Terry said. "That's what I've been about since day one."

Terry received 576 of a possible 605 points, including 111 of a possible 121 first-place votes, from a panel of 121 sportswriters.

Washington, April 24 : Heroes star Hayden Panettiere's Los Angeles home has been robbed, police has confirmed.

The theft was reported on Monday.

"The incident occurred between April 10 and 15 while she was out of town," Usmagazine. com quoted Public Information Officer April Harding as saying.

According to TMZ, approximately 15,000 dollars worth of jewellery is now missing from Panettiere's home.

However, police could only confirm that personal property was stolen from Panettiere, 19.
